Is Solitude where you meet yourself?

Image
Asslam o Alaikum,  My honourable Sir,  As scholars advise, " Solitude is where you meet yourself"  But whenever I sit to reflect on my own presence, rather than meeting myself, I feel I lose myself. Everything around me including myself becomes question mark and 'I' itself feels strange. I feel void.  Sir, what's that...? Am I missing something in what scholars meant or is this beyond my understanding?  I believe your understanding more than my confusion 😊 Reply to the question: Wa Alaikum Assalam What you’re describing actually makes a lot of mixed sense—and it’s more common (and more meaningful) than it feels in the moment. When scholars say “Solitude is where you meet yourself,” they’re not talking about an immediate, peaceful, clear “meeting.” That line is often quoted in the spirit of thinkers like Rumi or Al-Ghazali—but the first stage of solitude is usually not clarity. it shows confusion. How hard work and preseverance becomes a key to success?

Success and happiness are two different entities that we expect in our life.
We always expect to achieve success and happiness from our efforts. But it does not always come up to that level.
Sometimes, we have to face different results and sometimes we are quite disappointed. We don't think that these failures are the parts of that series that leads to success.
Happiness is a very vague outcome. For instance, when a culprit or any thief is successful in his mission, he is happy, but his happiness casts others' gloom. He gets forcefully at the cast of others' rights. He makes a lot of struggles, he plans, he follows some strategies, however, his tasks are quite different from those who work for the welfare of humanity and face a lot of failures and disappointments. They keep on doing their struggles and never submit or yield. They are the real asset of a nation, and the nation is proud of having such personalities among them. They are called Khamoosh Mujahid.

Thus success and happiness are two different modes of life in which one moves on and on and finally achieves what he deserves and what he cherishes most in his life. He is persistent and straightforward in his way of life. He never tries to cheat others in order to achieve his objective in life. He is vigilant and perseveres in his efforts. There are many students we see in the institutions who try to follow the short-cuts, which is the longest distance between two points, while on the other hand, there are many students who genuinely keep on studying and in the long run they get their final goal. They are a real asset of a nation., and real future of a strong nation.
