Is Solitude where you meet yourself?

Asslam o Alaikum,  My honourable Sir,  As scholars advise, " Solitude is where you meet yourself"  But whenever I sit to reflect on my own presence, rather than meeting myself, I feel I lose myself. Everything around me including myself becomes question mark and 'I' itself feels strange. I feel void.  Sir, what's that...? How do I actually be happy with life? Happiness is not any physical identity that can be measured or weighed with some unit of measurement . It is a state of mind in which one feels his excitement towards some even or an idea. Everyone has his own level of excitement and pleasure, such as a student being pleased with his performance and achievement while others being disappointed at his performance cannot be judged at the same level.  A player's participation is itself a pleasure, however, he may be disappointed at his achievement. Similarly, everyone views his success level according to his set goal. Now the question is how one can know that one is happy with one's life. There are two ways to evaluate his happiness: a.
