Is Solitude where you meet yourself?

Image
Asslam o Alaikum,  My honourable Sir,  As scholars advise, " Solitude is where you meet yourself"  But whenever I sit to reflect on my own presence, rather than meeting myself, I feel I lose myself. Everything around me including myself becomes question mark and 'I' itself feels strange. I feel void.  Sir, what's that...? Am I missing something in what scholars meant or is this beyond my understanding?  I believe your understanding more than my confusion 😊 Reply to the question: Wa Alaikum Assalam What you’re describing actually makes a lot of mixed sense—and it’s more common (and more meaningful) than it feels in the moment. When scholars say “Solitude is where you meet yourself,” they’re not talking about an immediate, peaceful, clear “meeting.” That line is often quoted in the spirit of thinkers like Rumi or Al-Ghazali—but the first stage of solitude is usually not clarity. it shows confusion. What you’re experiencing—the feeling of: losing yourself, everyth...

What makes intelligent people intelligent - Question of the Day

What makes intelligent people intelligent
The most striking quality of intelligent people is that THEY ACCEPT THEIR FAULTS immediately and always try to improve themselves. They have a learning attitude that makes them move on and on in life. They never stop or lose their spirits. They welcome new challenges and hope to get through these challenges.

Now, look at the reasons for this acceptance. Who can accept his fault? The person who knows better about the correction in order to learn more and more. This correction is an asset to his intellect. Let's have a simple example to understand this very unique 😉 point:
Q. Do two and two make four or five?
Ans. Four
Apparently, the person who knows addition can answer it as Four, and the wrong answer is Five. Now, one who accepts his mistake quickly learns and becomes equal to the intelligent person. Got it?
Let's have another example:
Q. Does water keep its level?
Ans. Yes.
Apparently, the person who has a scientific approach and some know-how about general knowledge can answer whereas the person can answer 'No' to this question. Now if he doesn't accept his mistake that has made him unintelligent, he cannot gain knowledge at all. This knowledge of little things makes him intelligent.
Now let's have some tricky questions.
Q. Is the melting of glaciers the cause of increasing temperature and global warming?
Ans 1. Yes.
Ans 2. No.
The correct answer is 'No'
Reason:
Glaciers are melting due to deforestation. This causes the lack of rain and lack of rain causes global warming and the melting of glaciers.
Now let's see the answer is 'Yes'.
He thinks that icebergs and glaciers keep the temperature down, but he overlooks the fact of the ecosystem of weather. And when he comes to know about the cycle of weather he becomes intelligent. See the causes and effects of an action

Similarly, in our social setup, there are many different ways and situations when we need to answer and tackle. Some of us are stuck to one point while others keep themselves correct and move on and on. Intelligence needs to view all the dimensions of an object or any difference that finally enhances our wisdom and perspective. The person who tries to become sharp becomes dull and the person who is rather slow in thinking becomes sharp and intelligent.
