Is Solitude where you meet yourself?

Image
Asslam o Alaikum,  My honourable Sir,  As scholars advise, " Solitude is where you meet yourself"  But whenever I sit to reflect on my own presence, rather than meeting myself, I feel I lose myself. Everything around me including myself becomes question mark and 'I' itself feels strange. I feel void.  Sir, what's that...? Am I missing something in what scholars meant or is this beyond my understanding?  I believe your understanding more than my confusion 😊 Reply to the question: Wa Alaikum Assalam What you’re describing actually makes a lot of mixed sense—and it’s more common (and more meaningful) than it feels in the moment. When scholars say “Solitude is where you meet yourself,” they’re not talking about an immediate, peaceful, clear “meeting.” That line is often quoted in the spirit of thinkers like Rumi or Al-Ghazali—but the first stage of solitude is usually not clarity. it shows confusion. What mostly people like to know?

Mostly people like to know about how 'money', 'health' and 'happiness' are achieved in life. They are least concerned about the real values of life that are essential to leading a happy and fruitful life.

That is the satisfaction of conscience'. If this is achieved, they won't hunt for wealth, health d happiness. Keep the following points in your mind:

1. Money can buy a bed but not a night of sound sleep.

2. Healthy man can gain fat, but not real physical fitness.

3. Happy is that who steals others' money, but not a gentle person at all.

Recommendations:

1. Seek real knowledge of happiness and contentment.

2. Learn how to serve others with your wealth.

3. Eat to live instead to live to eat.

Try to learn something new every day, you won't be disappointed ever. This world is a place where every action has a reaction, so avail the opportunities to facilitate others. Try to re-evaluate your blunders and turn new leaves in your life.  Nothing is permanent in life, so why to keep your disappointments with you forever. Life must go on.

People should follow their own targets and aims instead of following others' aims. They have to evaluate and re-evaluate their progress so that they can get real success and happiness in life.  There are many people who just criticise and comment on others' live without considering their circumstances and resources. Sometimes, they just pass the remarks to make fun of others but that is not a value of a good character. A good character always puts his own character in front of others to make corrections in his own life day by day.

Thus a real and genuine character must try to make the best use of his abilities in order to get success and satisfaction in his life instead of poking his nose into others' affairs of life.
