Is Solitude where you meet yourself?

Asslam o Alaikum,  My honourable Sir,  As scholars advise, " Solitude is where you meet yourself"  But whenever I sit to reflect on my own presence, rather than meeting myself, I feel I lose myself. Everything around me including myself becomes question mark and 'I' itself feels strange. I feel void.  Sir, what's that...? Q.1 If you divide 30 by half and add 10 what do you get?

A) 12
B) 25
C) 30 
D) 70

Solution:

First, divide 30 by half

= 30 / 1/2

= 30 x 2/1

= 60/1

= 60 + 10

= 70 

The answer is (D)

Q.1 If you get Rs. 1000 pocket money every day and save Rs. 200 daily. What do you have on Saturday morning if you start saving from Monday?  

A) Rs. 1200

Solution:

First Day saving Rs. 200 

Saving after 5 Days

= 200 x 5 

= 1000 (from Monday to Friday)

= 1000 (on Saturday Moning your get Rs. 1000/-)

= On Saturday Morning he gets Rs. 1000 

= Rs. 1000 + Rs. 1000

= 2000 ( on Saturday Morning)

Answer is (C)

Q.3 Ten years ago Ali was half of Bilal in age. If the ratio of their present age is 3: 4, what will be the total of their present ages? 

A) 8 years 
B) 20 years
C) 30 years
D) 35 years

Solution:

According to the statements

Let Ali's age 10 years ago = x

then Bilal's age 10 years ago = 2x 

(x+10)         3
-------    =  ------

(2x+10)      4

4(x+10) = 3(2x +10)

4x + 40 = 6x + 30

4x- 6x = 30 -40

- 2x = -10

x= 10/2

x= 5

Total of their present ages= 

=(x+10 + 2x + 10)

= (3x + 10 + 10)   

Put the value of x

= 3x5 + 20

= 15 + 20

= 35 years

Solution:

let x is the greater number and y is the smaller of the two numbers, then 

(x + y) = 30 + ( x -  y)

x + y = 30 +  x -  y

y+y = 30 +  x -  x

2y=30

y=15

let's xy

xy=900

15x=900

x=60

xy=900

15x60=900

Answer is B) 60
